Our CATS & CARS course is a program that has been developed to better understand the legislative structure, design, documentation, amendments, and communication, set out by the South African Civil Aviation Regulations and the South African Civil Aviation Technical Standards. All personnel involved in the aviation industry, in all areas – from pilots to ground crew to management, should be familiar with the structure of the Aviation Regulations. The specifically highlights the connectivity between the Civil Aviation technical standards (CATS) and Civil Aviation regulations (CARs) in a clear, easy-to-follow format. This course focussed on the following PARTS:
- Part 91
- Part 121
- Part 135
- Part 127

The use of cell phones during training is frowned upon (discouraged). If you are ‘on call’, please put your phone on ‘silent’ on your desk and leave the room to take the call. Courses held at Cranfield are all interactive and your instructor will encourage participation, where appropriate. We provide a light lunch between courses which is included in the price, is not compulsory and you are welcome to bring your own if you have dietary challenges (preferences). We have delegates from all over our continent with different beliefs, dress codes, and everyone is very welcome.
