Course Overview

Course Duration: 30-40 hours or at your own pace.

Course Price: R 12000 per person

This SAQA Accredited training program provides learners with the knowledge and skills to apply Safety, Health and Environment principles which will enable them to design, implement and maintain quality management programmes related to health, safety, and environment. Learners credited with this Unit Standard will be capable of: 

  • Discussing fundamental issues pertaining to occupational safety, health and environment.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of Safety Theories and Principles.
  • Applying the fundamentals of Risk Management.
  • Applying safety, health and environment management systems.

This comprehensive training program for managers and supervisors covers the HS&E fundamentals for:

  • Workplace Housekeeping, Stacking and Storing 
  • Confined Spaces
  • Power Tools, Electrical Safety
  • Lockout and Tag Systems
  • Lifting Equipment
  • Compressed Air, Portable Gas Cylinders
  • Fire Prevention 
  • Safeguarding, Symbolic Safety Signs 
  • Behaviour Based Safety

The use of cell phones during training is frowned upon (discouraged).  If you are ‘on call’,  please put your phone on ‘silent’ on your desk and leave the room to take the call.  Courses held at Cranfield are all interactive and your instructor will encourage participation, where appropriate. We provide a light lunch between courses which is included in the price, is not compulsory and you are welcome to bring your own if you have dietary challenges (preferences). We have delegates from all over our continent with different beliefs, dress codes, and everyone is very welcome.
